Misty Isle! next day it lived up tae it’s name.
We didna see much as tae Staffin we came.
Tae miss a’ these views we felt wis a shame,
But it cleared noo’ an’ then.
Dunvegan Castle, the hame o’ the Dame
Wis oor journey’s en’.

We looked at the castle but that wis a’;
The Fairy Flag we never saw;
Oor time wis short – we went tae ca’
At the village store
Where we saw the Macleans an’ where ane an’ a’
Had raspberries galore.

Fur Sligachan then we took oor gait,
Ower roads that kept us a’ gey quate.
The first o’ five, we led in state
Wi’ a Rover ahin,
Wi’ PVC on its number plate,
An’ a couple within.

Distance Today: 120 miles
Distance Total: 448 miles

Very hilly, narrow road from Bracadale to to Sligachan – JAG led all the way , followed by black Rover PVC (number plate) & four others : All very chummy – very wet. Drew into lay-by and waved to PVC as it passed. Stopped on descent to Sl.& photographed (from up on a boulder) the Cuillins emerging from the mist. Headed for Broadford passed PVC in lay-by and tooted.
